If a woman’s uterus/womb is (completely) removed – due to a medical condition (or other valid reason) – then from a medical perspective, menstruation cannot continue to flow. Therefore, if blood comes even after the womb was taken out, it may be because a part of the womb remained inside. In such a case, if it is discovered through the means of a medical examination that a part of the womb remained inside, the blood that comes will be given the ruling of haid on the condition that it comes for at least 3 days. If, on the other hand, it is verified through a medical examination, that the entire womb was taken out, any blood that comes will be given the ruling of istihaadha.
