Question:

Sometimes a muqtadi misses one or two rakats. When the Imam makes salam, he finds that the sutrah is about two or three steps away from him. Is it permissible for him to walk up to the sutrah?

Answer:

What is apparent to me from the practise of the Sahabah is that the masbooq does not take a sutrah and that he will make up (his missed rakats) without a sutrah.

أحياناً المأموم تفوته ركعة أو ركعتان، فعندما يسلم الإمام يجد السترة بعيدة عنه بمقدار خطوتين أو ثلاثاً فهل يجوز له أن يتقدم إلى السترة؟

الجواب
الذي يظهر لي من صنيع الصحابة رضي الله عنهم، أن المسبوق لا يتخذ سترة، وأنه يقضي بلا سترة.
