Question:

How should the relationship be between a fiancé and fiancée before marriage? Are they allowed to meet one another or talk to one another? They will not allow any indecency. In such a case how will their meeting be according to Shariah?

Answer:

It is permissible to look at the woman that one intends to marry once. No other ‘relationship’ other than that is allowed before marriage. There is no permission for meeting or speaking or meeting in seclusion. To meet and mingle before nikah is an indecency in itself.
