Nowadays, in the cold seasons, leather socks are being worn which has a zip on one side of the sock running from above (the ankle) to the part which is connected to the sole of the foot. If a person, after doing masah (wiping) opens the zip to the sole of the foot, then his masah will break. If he is in the condition of wudhu then he will only be required to wash his feet and then he may wear the socks again. If he is not in the condition of wudhu, then he will have to remove the socks and do a complete wudhu.
