Lifting One’s Feet While in Sajdah

Question:

“Ṣalāh will be nullified if a person lifts both of his feet during the sajdah for the amount of three Subḥānallāh while it would be valid if the duration was two Subḥānallāh,” is this true?

Answer:

While in the Sajdah in Ṣalāh it is obligatory to have both feet on the ground, if one does not place his feet at all, the prayer will not count. Although if one was to place his feet once for the amount of one Subḥānallāh and then lift them, the Ṣalāh will be valid, whether he had lifted his feet for the amount of three or more Subḥānallāh afterwards. Nonetheless, it is preferable to have both feet on the ground the duration of the whole Sajdah. (در مختار، البحر الرائق) And Allāh Taʿālā knows best.
