• Love for the Sunnah

One aspect of his love for the blessed Prophet was his ardent desire to die in Madina Munawwara. One incident from the last few years of his life illustrates his love for the blessed city. In his last years, he was confined to the wheelchair. Despite his condition, his students and admirers invited him from around the world. He accepted the invitation of his student, Shaikh Yusuf Mutala, to come to Britain. During his stay, he became sick and was hospitalized. His health took a turn for the worse and the doctors gave up hope in him. Reading the grief on his friends and attendants faces he said, “I have no worries, I have been promised death in Madina Munawwara.” He recovered shortly thereafter and died a few months later in Madina.
