Question:

Is it permissible to have a congregational recital of the Quran Majeed at the grave of a pious man with the intention of gifting the rewards?

Answer:

Gifting rewards is permissible. This can be done at any time and any place. However, it is not established by the Respected Sahabah that they congregated at anyone’s grave and recited the Quran Majeed for the purpose of gifting its rewards. Therefore it is best to refrain from this method.
