Question:

What is the ruling of burying one’s hair and nails after clipping them?

Answer:

The people of knowledge have said that burying hair and nails is best and most preferred. This has also been narrated from some Sahabah (رضي الله عنهم). As for the notion that “leaving them in the open or throwing them in a (particular) place is a sin”, then that is not so.

What is the ruling of clipping one’s nails in the bathroom and sending them with the filth?

Answer:

It is preferred not to do such out of honour for it. However, if someone did it, then there is no sin on him.
