70 + Chains of Abu Hanifah with only 2 links between him and the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم

Imam Abu Hanifa has over 70 chains with only 2 links between him and the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم.

He narrates from many great Tabe’een the likes of Salim ibn Abdillah ibn Umar, Naafe’, Zuhri, Ata ibn Abi Rabah, Sha’bi, Simak ibn Harb, Yahya ibn Saeed al-Ansari and others.

Here are charts that show that Imam Abu Hanifah is a student of many outstanding students of the Sahabah. It also shows that he has many chains that only have 2 links between him and the Rasool of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم.

In the above one will notice that Imam Abu Hanifah is the student of 10 students of the prominent sahabi who was known for his enthusiastic practice on the Sunnah, Ibn Umar رضي الله عنهما. He has 10 chains all of which consist of only 1 link between him and this knowledgeable Sahabi.

Above Abu Hanifah has 7 chains that consist of 1 link to the celebrated muhaddith sahabi, Jabir ibn Abdillah رضي الله عنهما.

Further below you will see that Imam Abu Hanifah has only one link connecting him to great Sahabah the likes of Ibn Masood, Abu Dardaa, Abu Musa, Abu Umamah, Abu Zarr, Umm Salamah and others.
