JUDGEMENT, SETTING UP OF THE SCALES AND THE WEIGHING

q9

Then Allah will order the Judgement to begin and the Scales will be set up to weigh the deeds. Everyone will be treated with Justice and Mercy.

The deeds will be weighed – the Good and the Bad – the Haram and the Halal – the Truth and the Falsehood and no one will be able to hide or deceive. All deeds will be announced and brought forward for all to see, except those who Allah deals with in privacy.

All debts will be paid and accounts will be brought forward. No one will want to give even one deed to their mother, their child, their husband or wife or their friend on that Day. Everyone will only be concerned for their own benefit.

Questioning of The Prophets and Their Ummah

Before questioning the people, Allah, in His Justice, will first of all, ask the Prophets whether they had truly conveyed the message of Allah to their people.

When the Prophets will affirm that they had indeed done so, they will be asked to produce their witness. They will declare that Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) is their witness. The Holy Prophet will testify on their behalf; and after establishing the fact that the prophets had really conveyed the message of Allah to their peoples, questions will be put to the people as to how they received that message and how they followed it.

“On the Day of Judgement, a man will be given his scroll, to read………………… then Allah will make him remember: there will be not a single look, or a single word, or a single step, or anything which he had done but that he will remember as though he had done it that very moment. It is for this reason that they will say:

“O Woe unto us! What is about this book: it had not left any small or big thing without recording it thoroughly.” (Sura Kahf: Verse 49)

“On the Day when their tongues, and their hands, and their feet will testify against them about their actions..” (Sura Nur: 24)

“We shall set up scales of Justice for the Day of Judgement, so that not a soul will be dealt with unjustly in the least; and if there be (no more than) the weight of a mustard seed, We will bring it (to account): and enough are We to take account.” (Sura Anbiyaa:47)

The Prophet (Allah bless him and grant him peace) said:

‏“The feet of a servant will not move on the Day of Judgment until he has been questioned about four things): his life – how he spent it, his knowledge – how he acted upon it, his wealth – where he earned it and how he spent it, and his body – how he used it.” (Tirmidhi)

The Prophet (Allah bless him and grant him peace) stated, “The first thing one will be held accountable for on the Day of Judgment is prayer.”   (Sunan Abu Dawud, al Nasa’i)
