Qarinah # 3, 4 & 5
One of the foremost authorities in usulul hadith, Allamah Khateeb al-Baghdadi states in “al-Kifayah”:
“Sometimes the authenticity of a hadith is proven by it being a matter that the text of the Quran or mutawaatir sunnah necessitated.”
Imam Suyuti writes in his magnificent usulul hadith work “Tadreebur Raawi” (62-63) that the Shaikh of Hafiz Munziri, Imam Ibnul Hassaar said in “Taqreebul Madaarik”:
“Sometimes a faqeeh realizes the authenticity of a hadith, once there is no liar in its chain, by its agreement with a verse of the Book of Allah or some principles of Shari’ah. This compels him to accept it and practise on it.”
The great Moroccan muhaddith Ahmed al-Ghumari writes in “al-Muthnawni wal Battaar” (180):
“When you look at the ahadith of laws that the ulama take, whether together or individually, you will see that approximately half of them are weak or even more, sometimes you may even find a munkar (hadith) or one that has fallen and close to being a fabrication, however concerning some of them the scholars would have said, they were received with acceptance, some, the scholars would have agreed upon their content, while some would have coincided with analogy.”
