We believe in You and we rely on you. We praise You in the best manner. We thank You and we are not ungrateful to You. We leave and cast off the one who disobeys You. O Allah, You alone do we worship and to You alone, we pray and prostrate. To You alone, we flee and we are quick (in serving You). We hope for Your mercy and fear Your punishment. We ask that You conceal our sins, and not expose them. We repent to You.<\/span><\/p>\n Repentance (tawbah<\/em>) is to return from sins. In Shariah<\/em> Terminology it is: To be remorseful of past sins, uproot them from one\u2019s present life, and to make a firm resolution on not returning to sins in the future, out of respect for the commands of Allah Ta\u2019ala<\/em>. If the rights of anyone are connected to the sin, then it is necessary to seek his forgiveness and please him.<\/span><\/p>\n \u0648\u064e\u0646\u064f\u0624\u0652\u0645\u0650\u0646\u064f \u0628\u0650\u0643\u064e<\/strong> \u00a0<\/strong>\u201cWe believe in You.\u201d \u2018We believe\u2019 means that we deem truthful while believing in our hearts and expressing with our tongues. We say that we believe in You and whatever has come from You and in Your angels and Your books and Your messengers and the last day and in destiny, that good and bad is from You.<\/span><\/p>\n \u0648\u064e\u0646\u064e\u062a\u064e\u0648\u064e\u0643\u0651\u064e\u0644\u064f \u0639\u064e\u0644\u064e\u064a\u0652\u0643\u064e<\/strong> \u201cWe rely upon You\u201d by entrusting our affairs to You due to our helplessness.<\/span><\/p>\n \u0648\u064e\u0646\u064f\u062b\u0652\u0646\u0650\u064a\u0652 \u0639\u064e\u0644\u064e\u06cc\u0652\u0643\u064e \u0627\u0644\u0652\u062e\u064e\u06cc\u0652\u0631\u064e \u06a9\u064f\u0644\u0651\u064e\u0647\u0657<\/strong> \u201c<\/strong>We praise you for every single good,\u201d while acknowledging all the blessings you have bestowed upon us.<\/span><\/p>\n \u0646\u064e\u0634\u0652\u06a9\u064f\u0631\u064f\u0643\u064e<\/strong>\u00a0 \u201cWe thank You,\u201d by turning all our limbs that You have favoured us with to that which You have created us for.<\/span><\/p>\n \u0648\u064e\u0644\u064e\u0627 \u0646\u064e\u06a9\u0652\u0641\u064f\u0631\u064f\u0643\u064e<\/strong> \u201cWe do not deny Your blessings,\u201d upon us nor do we ascribe them to anyone other than You.<\/span><\/p>\n \u0648\u064e\u0646\u064e\u062e\u0652\u0644\u064e\u0639\u064f<\/strong> \u201cWe cast off.\u201d The \u062d\u0631\u0641 \u0639\u0637\u0641 (preposition of conjunction) is established (in the narration of this dua<\/em>). The meaning is we throw away, cast off and we remove the noose of disbelief from our necks and the noose of all of that which displeases You.<\/span><\/p>\n \u0648\u064e\u0646\u064e\u062a\u0652\u0631\u064f\u0643\u064f<\/strong> \u201cWe separate\u201d (ourselves) from \u0645\u064e\u0646\u0652 \u06cc\u0651\u064e\u0641\u0652\u062c\u064f\u0631\u064f\u0643\u064e<\/strong> \u201cwhoever disobeys You,\u201d by denying your favours; and worshipping other than You.<\/span><\/p>\n \u0627\u064e\u0644\u0644\u0651\u0670\u06be\u064f\u0645\u0651\u064e <\/strong>\u0625\u0650<\/strong>\u06cc\u0651\u064e\u0627\u0643\u064e \u0646\u064e\u0639\u0652\u0628\u064f\u062f\u064f<\/strong> \u201cO Allah, You alone do we worship.\u201d (This statement is) a return (to the proclamation) of praise and specifying Allah\u2019s Being for worship.<\/span><\/p>\n \u0648\u064e\u0644\u064e\u0643\u064e \u0646\u064f\u0635\u064e\u0644\u0650\u0651\u064a\u0652<\/strong> \u201cAnd for You alone, we perform Salah.\u201d Salah was mentioned separately due to its nobility since it comprises of all acts of worship.<\/span><\/p>\n \u0648\u064e\u0646\u064e\u0633\u0652\u062c\u064f\u062f\u064f<\/strong>\u00a0 \u201cAnd prostrate.\u201d This is a further specification since prostration is the closest position a servant can reach to His Lord the One worthy of worship.<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0\u0648\u064e<\/strong>\u0625\u0650<\/strong>\u0644\u064e\u06cc\u0652\u0643\u064e \u0646\u064e\u0633\u0652\u0639\u0670\u06cc<\/strong>\u201cTo You alone we flee.\u201d It is an indication to the hadith qudsi<\/em>, \u201cWhoever comes to me walking, I go to him running.\u201d The meaning is: We strive in (good) actions to acquire that which brings us close to You<\/span><\/p>\n \u0648\u064e\u0646\u064e\u062d\u0652\u0641\u0650\u062f\u064f<\/strong> \u201cWe hasten,\u201d in pursuit of Your worship with vigor.<\/span><\/p>\n \u0646\u064e\u0631\u0652\u062c\u064f\u0648\u0652<\/strong>\u00a0 \u201cWe hope,\u201d and anticipate for \u0631\u064e\u062d\u0652\u0645\u064e\u062a\u064e\u0643\u064e<\/strong>\u201cYour mercy,\u201d meaning its continuity and perpetuity.<\/span><\/p>\n \u0648\u064e\u0646\u064e\u062e\u0652\u0634\u0670\u06cc \u0639\u064e\u0630\u064e\u0627\u0628\u064e\u0643\u064e<\/strong> \u201cWe fear Your punishment,\u201d by avoiding that which You have prohibited us from.
