The Meanings of the Preposition \u0639\u0646<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The word \u0639\u0646 is the twelfth \u062d\u0631\u0641 \u0627\u0644\u062c\u0631 (preposition) from the chapter of \u062d\u0631\u0648\u0641 (prepositions) in Hid\u0101yatun Na\u1e25w.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

It gives jarr<\/em> (the genitive case) to both an \u0627\u0633\u0645 \u0627\u0644\u0638\u0627\u0647\u0631 (apparent\/visible word) and a \u0636\u0645\u064a\u0631 (personal pronoun).<\/span><\/p>\n

Example of an \u0627\u0633\u0645 \u0627\u0644\u0638\u0627\u0647\u0631 (apparent\/visible word):<\/span><\/p>\n

\u0639\u0646 \u0627\u0644\u0646\u0627\u0633\u0650 (with \u0627\u0644\u0646\u0627\u0633 being visible\/not a dham\u012br<\/em>).<\/span><\/p>\n

An example of a dham\u012br<\/em> (\u0636\u0645\u064a\u0631):<\/span><\/p>\n

\u0639\u0646\u0647 (The \u0639\u0646 is attached to the \u0647 dham\u012br).<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

  1. The preposition \u0639\u0646 comes to give the meaning of passing over\/exceeding (\u0645\u062c\u0627\u0648\u0632\u0629)- meaning: passing one thing over or away from another thing. This meaning could either be literal or metaphorical.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    An example of it in the literal sense is:<\/span><\/p>\n

    \u0631\u0645\u064a\u062a\u064f \u0627\u0644\u0633\u0647\u0645\u064e \u0639\u0646 \u0627\u0644\u0642\u0648\u0633\u0650 \u0627\u0644\u0649 \u0627\u0644\u0635\u064a\u062f\u0650<\/span><\/p>\n

    I shot the arrow from<\/strong> the bow to the prey.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

    (Here one is literally shooting the arrow, and it exceeds or moves <\/strong>past the bow (\u0639\u0646 \u0627\u0644\u0642\u0648\u0633) to the prey towards the prey, therefore \u0645\u062c\u0627\u0648\u0632\u0629 occurred.)<\/span><\/p>\n

    An example of it metaphorically being \u0645\u062c\u0627\u0648\u0632\u0629:<\/span><\/p>\n

    \u0623\u064e\u0637\u0639\u0645\u062a\u064f\u0647 \u0639\u0646 \u0627\u0644\u062c\u0648\u0639\u0650<\/span><\/p>\n

    I fed him exceeding\/surpassing his hunger.<\/span><\/p>\n

    (Meaning, I fed him to such an extent where he surpassed<\/strong> hunger i.e., he was not hungry anymore).<\/span><\/p>\n

    1. The preposition \u0639\u0646 is also used for \u062a\u0639\u0644\u064a\u0644 (citing the reason); just as All\u0101h Ta\u02bf\u0101l\u0101 says in the Qur\u2019\u0101n: –<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      \u0648\u064e\u0645\u064e\u0627 \u0643\u064e\u0627\u0646\u064e \u0627\u0633\u0652\u062a\u0650\u063a\u0652\u0641\u064e\u0627\u0631\u064f \u0625\u0650\u0628\u0652\u0631\u064e\u0627\u0647\u0650\u064a\u0645\u064e \u0644\u0650\u0623\u064e\u0628\u0650\u064a\u0647\u0650 \u0625\u0650\u0644\u0651\u064e\u0627 \u0639\u064e\u0646 \u0645\u0651\u064e\u0648\u0652\u0639\u0650\u062f\u064e\u0629\u064d \u0648\u064e\u0639\u064e\u062f\u064e\u0647\u064e\u0627 \u0625\u0650\u064a\u0651\u064e\u0627\u0647\u064f<\/span><\/p>\n

      \u201cAnd the request of forgiveness of Ibrahim for his father was only because<\/strong> of a promise he had made to him.\u201d[i]<\/strong><\/a><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

      (The reason for the request of forgiveness was due to\/ because of <\/strong>a promise Ibrahim had made, and \u0639\u0646 denotes this reason.)<\/span><\/p>\n

      1. The preposition \u0639\u0646 also comes in the meaning of \u0628\u0639\u062f (after), just as All\u0101h Ta\u02bf\u0101l\u0101 says in the Qur\u2019\u0101n:<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        \u0644\u064e\u062a\u064e\u0631\u0652\u0643\u064e\u0628\u064f\u0646\u0651\u064e \u0637\u064e\u0628\u064e\u0642\u064b\u0627 \u0639\u064e\u0646 \u0637\u064e\u0628\u064e\u0642\u064d \u0623\u064a \u0628\u0639\u062f \u0637\u0628\u0642<\/span><\/p>\n

        –\u201cY<\/em>ou will certainly experience state after <\/strong>state.\u201d[ii]<\/strong><\/a><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

        (In this case \u0639\u0646 is used in the meaning of \u0628\u0639\u062f (after), therefore the meaning is state after<\/u> state).<\/span><\/p>\n
