He \ufdfa enquired, &#8220;What are these two days?&#8221; They said, &#8220;We used to have fun during these two days in the times of ignorance.&#8221; The Messenger \ufdfa said, &#8220;All\u0101h has exchanged these two days for you for two others, the day of <em>A\u1e0d\u1e25\u0101<\/em> and the day of <em>Fi\u1e6dr<\/em>.&#8221; This is narrated by Ab\u016b D\u0101w\u016bd.\u00a0[<em>Mishk\u0101t Al-Mas\u0101b\u012b\u1e25<\/em> #1439]<\/p>\n<p><em>Shaikh<\/em> Abdul \u1e24aqq <em>Mu\u1e25addith Dehlav\u012b<\/em> \u0631\u062d\u0645\u0647 \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 said in his commentary on <em>Mishk\u0101t Al-Mas\u0101b\u012b\u1e25<\/em>:\u00a0 &#8220;He \ufdfa intended by these statements, that the true time of celebration, happiness, and bliss for the believer should only be in worship. The <em>\u1e25ad\u012bth<\/em> contains a prohibition about wastefully spending one&#8217;s time and fooling around, along with a subtle indication that it is okay to have <strong>some<\/strong> fun on the two days of <em>\u012ad<\/em>, as long as it is not indecent or outside the norms of the <em>D\u012bn<\/em> or its signs. So, take heed! <strong>It also prohibits one from honoring and being happy at the celebrations of the polytheists and their festivals.<\/strong> Some scholars have gone to the extent of passing the verdict of disbelief upon those who commemorate these occasions of the disbelievers. They did this to harshly reprimand such actions and to close the door of other things it could lead to as well as protecting oneself from associations of disbelief.
