He says that the human mind misconstrues the conquest of the victor as proof of their perfection instead of looking at the magnitude of their strength. Then he gave different examples of the manifestation of this imitation.<a href=\"#_ftn1\" name=\"_ftnref1\">[1]<\/a> Unfortunately, many in the <em>Ummah,<\/em> after colonisation, have been afflicted with this low self esteem and have started to imitate the Western culture in every facet of their lives. Furthermore, even the students of <em>Deen,<\/em> of recent, and so-called scholars have fallen prey to this disease. Rather they have gone a step further and claimed that if the Prophet \ufdfa was in our era, he &#8211; Allah forbid- would have walked, talked and dressed in the manner of the colonising <em>kuffar <\/em>of today.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In his amazing book regarding the legally binding status of Prophetic Actions (\u062d\u062c\u064a\u0629 \u0623\u0641\u0639\u0627\u0644 \u0627\u0644\u0646\u0628\u064a \ufdfa), after mentioning the ruling which the <em>Usool Fiqh<\/em> scholars issued on the habitual actions of the Prophet \ufdfa -like dress code, manner of eating and sleeping etc.-, the <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Syrian <em>Muhaddith<\/em>, Shaikh Muhammad Awwamah<\/strong><\/span> (\u062d\u0641\u0638\u0647 \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647) writes:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cI do not wish to move on to the third category until I have cautioned you on an important note, and that is their saying, \u2018Our following of the Prophet \ufdfa in the habitual matters is a <em>mubaah<\/em> (permissible) act,\u2019 an improper conclusion -in the eyes of <em>Shari\u2019ah<\/em>&#8211; may be derived from this. This may give the impression that the Prophet \ufdfa was submitting to the customs of his people, thereby the Prophet \ufdfa would be an imitator and not a leader. Some students of knowledge whom we have met have the audacity to claim that if the Prophet \ufdfa was in our time he would have worn Western style suits and he would have even placed around his neck that tie. Therefore, Muhammad \ufdfa would have been an imitator and not a leader. <strong>However, there are countless instances where the Prophet \ufdfa changed several traditions and invalidated many customs of his people.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">At this juncture it is appropriate to say, \u2018The habits of the noble people are truly the noblest of habits.\u2019 There is no doubt that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fiqhulislam.com\/?p=6109\">the <em>muhaddithun<\/em> filled their books<\/a> with the narrations of the Prophet&#8217;s \ufdfa natural, habitual and worldly states, because they recognize that the Prophetic states were chosen and picked by Allah <em>Ta\u2019ala<\/em> for him.\u201d<a href=\"#_ftn2\" name=\"_ftnref2\">[2]<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Thereafter <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Shaikh Awwamah<\/strong> <\/span>(\u062d\u0641\u0638\u0647 \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647) mentioned numerous examples of how the Sahabah \u0631\u0636\u064a \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 \u0639\u0646\u0647\u0645 and those who came after emulated the Prophet \ufdfa in all aspects of his life, rather they even emulated his state after death. For instance, they preferred to be buried in a <em>lahd<\/em>\u00a0(niche)grave because the Prophet \ufdfa was buried in one. Abdullah ibn Abu Bakr \u0631\u0636\u064a \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 \u0639\u0646\u0647\u0645\u0627 had offered a garment of his to be used as a shroud for the Messenger of Allah \ufdfa. However, it was not destined to be used. So, Abdullah\u00a0\u0631\u0636\u064a \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 \u0639\u0646\u0647 took it back and thought for himself that he will use it as a shroud of his own. Then he said that if Allah was pleased with it for His Prophet \ufdfa he would have shrouded him in it. So, he sold it and gave its price away in charity. Collected by Muslim in his <em>Sahih<\/em>.<a href=\"#_ftn3\" name=\"_ftnref3\">[3]<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><em>Subhaanallah<\/em>. The Sahabah \u0631\u0636\u064a \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 \u0639\u0646\u0647\u0645 emulated the Prophet\u2019s \ufdfa state even after death, but we have abandoned the style, mannerisms, and way of life which the Prophet \ufdfa actively and consciously adopted during his lifetime.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">May Allah make us from among those who follow the Prophet \ufdfa, not only in worship, but in all facets of life.
