There are two extreme views on this issue. Some call for a total abandonment while others consider reciting a particular wordings of the <em>durood<\/em> an established Sunnah. The reality of the matter is that reciting abundant <em>durood<\/em> on Fridays is an established Sunnah. One may use any wordings he wishes. If one uses the wordings:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">\u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647\u064f\u0645\u0651\u064e \u0635\u064e\u0644\u0651\u0650 \u0639\u064e\u0644\u064e\u0649 \u0645\u064f\u062d\u064e\u0645\u0651\u064e\u062f\u0650\u0646\u0650 \u0627\u0644\u0646\u0651\u064e\u0628\u0650\u064a\u0651\u0650 \u0627\u0644\u0623\u064f\u0645\u0651\u0650\u064a\u0651\u0650 \u0648\u064e\u0639\u064e\u0644\u064e\u0649 \u0622\u0644\u0650\u0647\u0650 \u0648\u064e\u0633\u064e\u0644\u0651\u0650\u0645\u0652 \u062a\u064e\u0633\u0652\u0644\u0650\u064a\u0652\u0645\u064b\u0627<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">without the intention that these specific words are established in the hadith, then there is no harm. Rather, all the rewards promised in authentic narrations for reciting <em>salat was salam<\/em> will be acquired and achieved, Allah willing. Whoever confers blessings upon me eighty times on Friday, eighty years of his sins are forgiven.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>All\u0101ma Sakh\u0101w\u012b (may All\u0101h have mercy on him) has narrated this \u1e25ad\u012bth through many different chains of narration that have been declared weak (<em>\u1e0da\u012bf<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The author of <em>It\u1e25\u0101f <\/em>(a commentary of <em>I\u1e25y\u0101 _\u016bl\u016bm al-D\u012bn<\/em>) has also narrated this \u1e25ad\u012bth through different chains of narration. It is a principle of the \u1e25ad\u012bth scholars that a weak narration, especially when reported through varying chains of narrations, is acceptable when pertaining to virtues. It is most probably for this reason that this \u1e25ad\u012bth has been indicated as sound (<em>\u1e25asan<\/em>) in <em>Al-J\u0101mi<\/em>_<em>al-<\/em>\u1e62<em>agh\u012br <\/em>on the authority of Sayyidun\u0101 Ab\u016b Hurayra \u0631\u0636\u064a \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 \u0639\u0646\u0647. Mull\u0101 _Al\u012b Q\u0101r\u012b (may All\u0101h have mercy on him) has also qouted this \u1e25ad\u012bth from \u1e6cabr\u0101n\u012b and D\u0101ruqu\u1e6dn\u012b through the reference of <em>Al-J\u0101mi<\/em>_<em>al-<\/em>\u1e62<em>agh\u012br<\/em> in his <em>Sharhus Shifaa<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">All\u0101ma Sakh\u0101w\u012b (may All\u0101h have mercy on him) says that this \u1e25ad\u012bth has also been narrated on the authority of Sayyidun\u0101 Anas \u0631\u0636\u064a \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 \u0639\u0646\u0647. In a \u1e25ad\u012bth of Sayyidun\u0101 Ab\u016b Hurayra \u0631\u0636\u064a \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 \u0639\u0646\u0647, it is narrated that whoever confers the following blessings eighty times before getting up from his place after <em>A\u1e63r <\/em>prayers on Friday, eighty years of his sins will be forgiven and the reward of eighty years of worship will be written for him:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647\u064f\u0645\u0651\u064e \u0635\u064e\u0644\u0651\u0650 \u0639\u064e\u0644\u064e\u0649 \u0645\u064f\u062d\u064e\u0645\u0651\u064e\u062f\u0650\u0646\u0650 \u0627\u0644\u0646\u0651\u064e\u0628\u0650\u064a\u0651\u0650 \u0627\u0644\u0623\u064f\u0645\u0651\u0650\u064a\u0651\u0650 \u0648\u064e\u0639\u064e\u0644\u064e\u0649 \u0622\u0644\u0650\u0647\u0650 \u0648\u064e\u0633\u064e\u0644\u0651\u0650\u0645\u0652 \u062a\u064e\u0633\u0652\u0644\u0650\u064a\u0652\u0645\u064b\u0627<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>O All\u0101h, confer blessings upon Mu\u1e25ammad, the unlettered Prophet, and upon his family and confer salutations.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>\u00a0<\/em>D\u0101ruqu\u1e6dn\u012b (may All\u0101h have mercy on him) has narrated in a \u1e25ad\u012bth that the Noble Prophet (\u0635\u0644\u0649 \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 \u0639\u0644\u064a\u0647 \u0648\u0633\u0644\u0645) said, \u201cWhoever confers blessings upon me eighty times on Friday, eighty years of his sins will be forgiven.\u201d A person asked, \u201cO Messenger of All\u0101h, how should we confer blessings?\u201d The Noble Prophet (\u0635\u0644\u0649 \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 \u0639\u0644\u064a\u0647 \u0648\u0633\u0644\u0645) replied:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647\u064f\u0645\u0651\u064e \u0635\u064e\u0644\u0651\u0650 \u0639\u064e\u0644\u064e\u0649 \u0645\u064f\u062d\u064e\u0645\u0651\u064e\u062f\u064d \u0639\u064e\u0628\u0652\u062f\u0650\u0643\u064e \u0648\u064e\u0646\u064e\u0628\u0650\u064a\u0651\u0650\u0643\u064e \u0648\u064e\u0631\u064e\u0633\u064f\u0648\u0652\u0644\u0650\u0643\u064e \u0627\u0644\u0646\u0651\u064e\u0628\u0650\u064a\u0651\u0650 \u0627\u0644\u0623\u064f\u0645\u0651\u0650\u064a\u0651\u0650<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>O All\u0101h, confer blessings upon Mu\u1e25ammad<\/em>, <em>Your servant, Your<\/em> <em>Prophet and Your Messenger, the unlettered Prophet.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>\u00a0<\/em>\u201cClose one finger after saying this.\u201d Closing one\u2019s fingers mean counting using your fingers.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The \u1e25ad\u012bths encourage one to count using one\u2019s fingers. The Noble Prophet (\u0635\u0644\u0649 \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 \u0639\u0644\u064a\u0647 \u0648\u0633\u0644\u0645) said, \u201cCount using your fingers, as they shall be given the power to speak on the Day of Judgement and shall be questioned.\u201d (This subject has been discussed in detail under \u1e25ad\u012bth eighteen of <em>Virtues of Dhikr<\/em>, Chapter Two).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">We use our hands to commit hundreds of sins. On the Day of Judgement when the hands and fingers will enumerate the thousands sins committed during one\u2019s life, they should also be able to enumerate some good deeds carried out by them or that were counted with their aid. \u1e24\u0101fi\u1e93 _Ir\u0101q\u012b (may All\u0101h have mercy on him) has declared this \u1e25ad\u012bth <em>\u1e25asan <\/em>[a good chain of transmission].<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sayyidun\u0101 _Al\u012b \u0631\u0636\u064a \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 \u0639\u0646\u0647 has narrated that the Noble Prophet (\u0635\u0644\u0649 \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 \u0639\u0644\u064a\u0647 \u0648\u0633\u0644\u0645) said, \u201cWhoever confers one hundred blessings upon me on Friday will be accompanied by such light on the Day of Judgement that it would suffice the whole creation were it to be distributed amongst them.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidun\u0101 Sahl bin_Abdull\u0101h (may All\u0101h have mercy on him) that whoever confers the following blessings eighty times after <em>A<\/em>\u1e63<em>r <\/em>\u1e63al\u0101h on Friday will have eighty years of his sins forgiven:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647\u064f\u0645\u0651\u064e \u0635\u064e\u0644\u0651\u0650 \u0639\u064e\u0644\u064e\u0649 \u0645\u064f\u062d\u064e\u0645\u0651\u064e\u062f\u0650 \u0646\u0650 \u0627\u0644\u0646\u0651\u064e\u0628\u0650\u064a\u0651\u0650 \u0627\u0644\u0623\u064f\u0645\u0651\u0650\u064a\u0651\u0650 \u0648\u064e\u0639\u064e\u0644\u064e\u0649 \u0622\u0644\u0650\u0647\u0650 \u0648\u064e\u0633\u064e\u0644\u0651\u0650\u0645\u0652<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>O All\u0101h, confer blessings upon Mu\u1e25ammad, the unlettered Prophet and upon his family and confer salutations.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">All\u0101ma Sakh\u0101w\u012b (may All\u0101h have mercy on him) narrates elsewhere on the authority of Sayyidun\u0101 Anas \u0631\u0636\u064a \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 \u0639\u0646\u0647 that the Noble Prophet (\u0635\u0644\u0649 \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 \u0639\u0644\u064a\u0647 \u0648\u0633\u0644\u0645) said, \u201cWhoever confers blessings upon me once that are subsequently accepted, eighty years of his sins are forgiven.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In <em>Z\u0101d al-Sa\u012bd, <\/em>Shaykh Ashraf Al\u012b Th\u0101naw\u012b (may All\u0101h have mercy on him) has narrated this \u1e25ad\u012bth of Sayyidun\u0101 Anas \u0631\u0636\u064a \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 \u0639\u0646\u0647 on the authority of <em>Al-Durr al-Mukht\u0101r <\/em>from I\u1e63bah\u0101n\u012b.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">All\u0101mah Sh\u0101m\u012b (may All\u0101h have mercy on him) has discussed at length whether blessings on the Noble Prophet (\u0635\u0644\u0649 \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 \u0639\u0644\u064a\u0647 \u0648\u0633\u0644\u0645) are always accepted or not. Shaykh Ab\u016b Sulaym\u0101n D\u0101r\u0101n\u012b (may All\u0101h have mercy on him) is reported to have said that acts of worship have the possibility of being either accepted or rejected. However, blessings upon the Noble Prophet (\u0635\u0644\u0649 \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 \u0639\u0644\u064a\u0647 \u0648\u0633\u0644\u0645) are always accepted.
