If a woman is bleeding due to istihadha<\/em> (dysfunctional bleeding) and she needs to perform salah on the road, will istinjaa be necessary?<\/p>\n

Answer:<\/span><\/p>\n

A mustahadha<\/em> (a woman experiencing dysfunctional bleeding) must perform a wudhu<\/em> for the time of every salah<\/em>. Istinjaa<\/em> is not<\/strong> necessary\u00a0on her, unless she urinated or excreted before the wudhu<\/em>.<\/p>\n

However, if blood has soiled the area surrounding the private part and it is more than a dirham<\/em> in size, [approximately 3 cm in diameter] then it is necessary<\/strong> to remove it [wash it].<\/p>\n
