What is its ruling? How is it to take part in it?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Answer:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It is clear that a <em>dawat<\/em> (dinner or lunch) at the groom\u2019s home, a day before the <em>nikah,<\/em> is <strong>not<\/strong> Sunnah. If this said <em>dawat<\/em> (dinner or lunch) is due to any custom or culture, then it being <strong>impermissible<\/strong> and an innovation (<em>bid&#8217;ah<\/em>) is also clear.
