Is this correct?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit; color: #000080;\">Answer:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">We\u00a0do not know of any\u00a0prohibition of a menstruating woman taking a bath. Rather, Imam Ibn Majah (\u0631\u062d\u0645\u0647 \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647)\u00a0writes in his &#8216;Sunan&#8217;:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;<strong>Chapter: How A Menstruating Woman Should Bathe:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It is narrated from Aishah (\u0631\u0636\u064a \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 \u0639\u0646\u0647\u0627) that the Prophet (\u0635\u0644\u0649 \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 \u0639\u0644\u064a\u0647 \u0648\u0633\u0644\u0645) said to her, when she was\u00a0<strong style=\"font-style: inherit;\">menstruating<\/strong>: &#8220;Undo your braids and bathe.&#8221;<a href=\"#_edn1\" name=\"_ednref1\">[i]<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Hafiz Busiri (\u0631\u062d\u0645\u0647 \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647) classified its narrators as reliable.<a href=\"#_edn2\" name=\"_ednref2\">[ii]<\/a> Hafiz Majd Ibn Taimiyah (\u0631\u062d\u0645\u0647 \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647) graded it as authentic.<a href=\"#_edn3\" name=\"_ednref3\">[iii]<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The great hanbali jurist, Ibn Qudamah (\u0631\u062d\u0645\u0647 \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647) says, &#8220;This was not the ghusl after\u00a0menses. Rather she was commanded to take a ghusl during menses&#8230;&#8221;<a href=\"#_edn4\" name=\"_ednref4\">[iv]<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The great hanafi muhaddith, Allamah Sindhi (\u0631\u062d\u0645\u0647 \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647) says, \u201cMeaning, while she was still in her menses. From this, it is apparent that this is not a ghusl after menses.\u201d<a href=\"#_edn5\" name=\"_ednref5\">[v]<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Shawkani (\u0631\u062d\u0645\u0647 \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647) said, &#8220;Ghusl in this condition is for cleanliness.&#8221;<a href=\"#_edn6\" name=\"_ednref6\">[vi]<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This hadith clearly shows that a woman may bathe while she is in her menses.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">And Allah knows best.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"#_ednref1\" name=\"_edn1\">[i]<\/a> [Sunan Ibn Majah, Chapter: 124 Hadith #641]<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"#_ednref2\" name=\"_edn2\">[ii]<\/a> [Misbahuz Zujaajah Pg.439]<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"#_ednref3\" name=\"_edn3\">[iii]<\/a> [Al-Muntaqaa with Nail Vol.1 Pg.292]<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"#_ednref4\" name=\"_edn4\">[iv]<\/a> [Al-Mughni Vol.1 Pg.226]<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"#_ednref5\" name=\"_edn5\">[v]<\/a> Hashiyah ala Ibn Majah Pg.302<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"#_ednref6\" name=\"_edn6\">[vi]<\/a> [Nailul Awtaar Vol.1 Pg.292]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Question: People say that a menstruating woman is not allowed to take a bath.
