Ibn Umar \u0631\u0636\u064a \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 \u0639\u0646\u0647\u0645\u0627 said, the people equated that with two Mudds (half Sa\u2019) of wheat. [Bukhari #1507]<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Nowadays the price of half of a sa\u2019 (1.75 kg) of wheat is very little for paying Sadaqatul Fitr. This is very insignificant and has no value for the well to do people. This is why the wealthy are encouraged that instead of paying the price of half a sa\u2019 of wheat in Sadaqatul Fitr they should pay the price of one sa\u2019 (3.5 kg) of dates or raisins. They will reap tremendous rewards and the poor will benefit much more.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Hasan said, Ibn Abbas (\u0631\u0636\u064a \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 \u0639\u0646\u0647\u0627) preached towards the end of Ramadan on the pulpit (in the mosque) of Basrah\u2026&#8221;The Messenger of Allah (\u0635\u0644\u0649 \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 \u0639\u0644\u064a\u0647 \u0648\u0633\u0644\u0645) prescribed this sadaqah as one sa&#8217; of dried dates or barley, or <strong>half<\/strong> a sa&#8217; of <strong>wheat<\/strong> payable by every freeman or slave, male or female, young or old. <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>When Ali (\u0631\u0636\u064a \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 \u0639\u0646\u0647) came (to Basrah), he found that price had come down. He said: &#8216;Allah has given prosperity to you, so give one sa&#8217; of everything (as sadaqah).&#8217;<\/strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">&#8220;<\/span> <\/span>[Abu Dawud #1622, Ahmed #2018]<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>From this we learn that the well-to-do should give\u00a0the higher price when paying\u00a0Sadaqatul Fitr<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">[<span style=\"color: #000080;\">Kitabul Masaail<\/span> by Hazrat Mufti Salman Mansurpuri, May All preserve him. Vol.2 Pg.283]<\/p>\n<p><strong>One may give the actual grains or one may give its equivalent in cash.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It is mentioned in Al-Muheet Al-Burhani that, &#8220;If a person wishes to give the value of wheat, barley or dates, then he may give the value of whichever one of the three he wishes according to Imam Abu Hanifah and Imam Abu Yusuf \u0631\u062d\u0645\u0647\u0645\u0627 \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>[Al-Muheet Al-Burhani Vol.3 Pg.385, Al-Fatawa Taartarkhaniyah Vol.3 Pg.455, Hashiyah Ibn Aabideen Vol.3 Pg.376 \u0645\u0637\u0644\u0628 \u0641\u064a \u0645\u0642\u062f\u0627\u0631 \u0627\u0644\u0641\u0637\u0631\u0629 \u0628\u0627\u0644\u0645\u062f \u0627\u0644\u0634\u0627\u0645\u064a]<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">CHART OF PRICES FOR SADAQATUL FITR<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Below are prices in Canadian Dollars of the different food items the Prophet \ufdfa and his Companions \u0631\u0636\u064a \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 \u0639\u0646\u0647\u0645 listed. One may pay any of the below prices,* taking his &#8216;School of Thought&#8217; into consideration<strong>. Don\u2019t forget to pay on behalf of those under your care.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">There are two opinions on the size of the Sa\u2019.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">First: <\/span><strong>3.5 kg<\/strong>.
