The great jurist Allamah Ibnul Haaj\u00a0(\u0631\u062d\u0645\u0647 \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647) said: \u201cOur scholars have stated that, if a person takes a glass and drinks from it with the imagination that it is alcohol, then that water is haram on him.\u201d<\/p>\n
The last of the research scholars, Allamah Shami (\u0631\u062d\u0645\u0647 \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647)\u00a0states: \u201cIf a person drinks water or any other permissible beverage, along with entertainment and music, in the manner of the fussaaq (immoral), then this is haram.\u201d He adds, the author of \u2018Tabyinul Maharim\u2019 also concurs with this.<\/p>\n
Allamah Nahlawi (\u0631\u062d\u0645\u0647 \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647)\u00a0states: \u201cIt is prohibited (haram) to drink water in the manner in which alcohol is drank.\u201d<\/p>\n
In our days, one of the manners of drinking alcohol is in a wine glasses. Therefore, drinking non-alcoholic wines or even water in them will be counted as emulating the style of drinking wine. If one makes a toast, then this would add to the reprehensibility.<\/p>\n
