{"id":4393,"date":"2016-02-08T06:03:29","date_gmt":"2016-02-08T10:03:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.fiqhulislam.co\/?p=4393"},"modified":"2016-02-08T06:03:29","modified_gmt":"2016-02-08T10:03:29","slug":"albani-benefits-weak-hadiths","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fiqhulislam.com\/?p=4393","title":{"rendered":"Albani: Benefits of Weak Hadiths"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In his book on the prohibition of musical instruments, Albani mentioned two benefits of using weak hadith:<\/p>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>To be used as\u00a0\u0627\u0644\u0645\u062a\u0627\u0628\u0639\u0627\u062a and\u00a0\u0627\u0644\u0634\u0648\u0627\u0647\u062f in\u00a0strengthening other weak chains. [This is a principle one will find in all Usoolul Hadith works.]<\/li>\n<li>To derive educational and guiding lessons from weak hadith which\u00a0agree with other nusoos of Shariah. [This is what the muhadditheen discuss under the title \u0641\u0636\u0627\u0626\u0644 \u0627\u0644\u0627\u0639\u0645\u0627\u0644.]<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Shaikh Albani states:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cThe earlier <em>huffaz<\/em> narrated hadith with chains, from which, there are hadiths with weak chains, yet they cited them in their books. This makes clear for the student of knowledge one of the many benefits (derived from the style of the <em>muhadditheen<\/em>) which is:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">They are the foundational references for \u0627\u0644\u0627\u0639\u062a\u0628\u0627\u0631 and a place to research \u0627\u0644\u0645\u062a\u0627\u0628\u0639\u0627\u062a and \u0627\u0644\u0634\u0648\u0627\u0647\u062f which strengthens each other.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Along with this:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sometimes one may even derive training and educational benefits, whose meanings are accurate, even though it is not permissible for anyone to firmly ascribe it to the Nabi, as is known to the people of knowledge, as opposed to some people of desires, past and present.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This is why Hafiz Ibn Abdil Barr said in \u2018At-Tamhid\u2019 (1\/58):<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cThe weak hadith is not disregarded even though it cannot be used as evidence. There are many a weak hadith with accurate meanings.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The summary is that, sometimes a hadith which has a weak chains can have an accurate meaning due to it agreeing with the Shar\u2019ee text. For instance, the hadith, \u201cGlad-tidings for him whose faults busy him from looking at the faults of others.\u201d There are many other examples. However, it is not permissible to ascribe it to the Nabi.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sometimes (a weak hadith) may have both, an accurate meaning and correct words, due to the \u0627\u0644\u0634\u0648\u0627\u0647\u062f which strengthen it like this sixth hadith and the one before it.
