A bright star in the galaxy of Ulama, a prized asset of the Ummah, a lion in the defence of the sunnah, an inspiration for the students, Shaykh Muhammad Awwamah has spent over half a century serving Islam and in particular the science of Hadith.<\/p>\n
Shaykh hails from the cradle of Ulama; the historic city of Halab (Aleppo) in Syria.\u00a0 He was born around 1940.\u00a0 Shaykh was born in an era which was enlightened with many senior and high ranking Ulama.\u00a0 Shaykh attended the lectures of the luminary Shaykh Abdullah Sir\u0101j al-D\u012bn rahimahullah.\u00a0 Likewise, Shaykh Muhammad Awwamah studied under the world renowned scholar, Shaykh Abd al-Fatt\u0101h Ab\u016b Ghuddah rahimahullah.<\/p>\n
Shaykh Abd al-Fattah said regarding Shaykh Awwamah,<\/p>\n
\u201cmy student of yesterday and companion of today.\u201d<\/p>\n
Shaykh Abd al-Fattah said on another occasion in respect of Shaykh Awwamah,<\/p>\n
\u201cA genius and a muhaqqiq (researcher).\u201d<\/p>\n
Another scholar said about him,<\/p>\n
\u201cThat he does not know any person on the face of the earth similar to Shaykh Awwamah when it comes to researching (tahq\u012bq).\u201d<\/p>\n
It is common about Shaykh Awwmah hafizahullah that when he hears good taking place in the world, he brightens up.\u00a0 When he hears bad news, his state changes for the worse.<\/p>\n
Once upon receiving bad news, the honourable Shaykh could not get up from his bed for 3 days.<\/p>\n
Shaykh\u2019s devotion to Hadith is reflected in the fact that he never bought a newspaper in his entire life.\u00a0 Only once he purchased a newspaper for a specific reason.<\/p>\n
Shaykh has great respect and love for the Ulama of the Indian sub continent.\u00a0 He had close affiliation with Hadhrat Shaykh Maulana Muhammad Zakariyya, Maulana Hab\u012bb al-Rahm\u0101n al-\u2018Azami and Maulana Saeed Ahmed Khan Rahimahumulluh.<\/p>\n
Shaykh has worked upon many books, to name a few:<\/p>\n
This comprises of 26 volumes.\u00a0 Shaykh Muhammad Awwamah spent 16 years working on this book alone.<\/p>\n
Despite being of a very high academic level, he has written books for children, youngsters and the general people.<\/p>\n
Shaykh has spent the last 33 years in al-Madinah al-Munawwarah and currently resides in the blessed city.<\/p>\n
