A man traveled overseas the day after his nikah, returned two years after and then hosted the walimah. Is this correct?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Answer:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The masnoon method of the walimah is to host it the day after the consummation of the nikah (i.e.\u00a0after both husband and wife meet in seclusion). Hazrat Anas (\u0631\u0636\u064a \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 \u0639\u0646\u0647) narrates that when the Messenger of Allah (\u0635\u0644\u0649 \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 \u0639\u0644\u064a\u0647 \u0648\u0633\u0644\u0645) married Hazrat Zainab bint Jahash (\u0631\u0636\u064a \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 \u0639\u0646\u0647\u0627), he invited people the next day and fed them. There is also a leeway in feeding on the second or third day.
