Their pictures are published in newspapers. People see their pictures in newspapers and read their lectures. I have heard that it is as haram to look at the picture of a non-mahram woman as it is to look at the actual woman. What is the ruling?<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #003366;\">Answer:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The wujoob (compulsion) of hijab\u00a0on a woman is an issue\u00a0of <strong>consensus<\/strong> and it is not one that scholars differ in. This hijab also applies to the <strong>face<\/strong>. It is also <strong>not<\/strong> permitted in Shariah to publish her pictures. There is no difference of any scholar of the Deen on these\u00a0issues.
