Rewards are written; a person&#8217;s sins are forgiven; and his status is elevated.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Messenger of Allah (\u0635\u0644\u0649 \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 \u0639\u0644\u064a\u0647 \u0648\u0633\u0644\u0645) said: &#8220;Whoever sends Salah upon me once, Allah will send Salah upon\u00a0him ten-fold, and will erase ten sins from him, and will raise him ten\u00a0degrees in status.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">[Narrated by Nasai #1297 V.3 Pg.50; and Haakim in Mustadrak 1\/550 (He said, it is authentic and Zahabi agreed); and Ibn Hibban in his Saheeh #904 (Shaikh Shu&#8217;aib said, its chain is authentic.)]<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Allah&#8217;s Messenger (\u0635\u0644\u0649 \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 \u0639\u0644\u064a\u0647 \u0648\u0633\u0644\u0645)\u00a0said: &#8220;The person closest to me on the Day of Judgement is the one who sent the most Salat upon me.&#8221; [Narrated by Tirmithi #484 and he said it is sound (hasan gharib)]<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Concerning salat and durood specifically on Fridays the Messenger of Allah (\u0635\u0644\u0649 \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 \u0639\u0644\u064a\u0647 \u0648\u0633\u0644\u0645) said:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;Of your best days is Friday. On it\u00a0Adam was created; and on it his\u00a0(soul) was taken; and on it is the\u00a0blowing (of the Trumpet); and on\u00a0it is the Swoon. Therefore,\u00a0increase in sending your Salat upon\u00a0me, for your salat\u00a0upon me are presented to me.&#8221; They said: &#8220;O\u00a0Messenger of Allah! And how will\u00a0our Salat upon you be presented to\u00a0you after you have perished?&#8221; He\u00a0replied: &#8220;Indeed, Allah, the Mighty\u00a0and Sublime, has prohibited the earth from (destroying) the bodies\u00a0of the Prophets.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">[Narrated by Abu Dawud in his Sunan #1047, Ibn Khuzaimah #1733 and Ibn Hibban #910 in their respective Saheehs, and Hakim in Mustadrak 1\/278 He said, It is authentic on the conditions of Bukhari and Zahabi agreed.]<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Based on this Imam Shafe&#8217;e used to say, &#8220;I love to send plenty of salat upon the Messenger of Allah (\u0635\u0644\u0649 \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 \u0639\u0644\u064a\u0647 \u0648\u0633\u0644\u0645)\u00a0all the time and I love it more so on the day of Jumuah.&#8221; [Kitabul Umm 1\/546]<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">So there is plenty of rewards for reciting salat and salam (durood) every day and especially so on Fridays. One may reap these rewards with which ever wordings of salat and salam (durood) one uses.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">There is a specific hadith that speaks about salat was salaam (durood)\u00a0after Asr on a Friday:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\">\u00a0\u0645\u0646 \u0635\u0644\u0649 \u0635\u0644\u0627\u0629 \u0627\u0644\u0639\u0635\u0631 \u0645\u0646 \u064a\u0648\u0645 \u0627\u0644\u062c\u0645\u0639\u0629 \u0641\u0642\u0627\u0644 \u0642\u0628\u0644 \u0623\u0646 \u064a\u0642\u0648\u0645 \u0645\u0646 \u0645\u0643\u0627\u0646\u0647 \u00a0<strong>[\u0627\u0644\u0644\u064e\u0651\u0647\u064f\u0645\u064e\u0651 \u0635\u064e\u0644\u0650\u0651 \u0639\u064e\u0644\u064e\u0649 \u0645\u064f\u062d\u064e\u0645\u064e\u0651\u062f\u0650\u0646\u0650 \u0627\u0644\u0646\u0651\u064e\u0628\u0650\u064a\u0650\u0651 \u0627\u0644\u0652\u0623\u064f\u0645\u0651\u0650\u064a\u0651\u0650 \u0648\u064e\u0639\u064e\u0644\u064e\u0649 \u0622\u0644\u0650\u0647\u0650 \u0648\u064e\u0633\u064e\u0644\u0651\u0650\u0645\u0652 \u062a\u064e\u0633\u0652\u0644\u0650\u064a\u0652\u0645\u064b\u0627]<\/strong>\u00a0 \u062b\u0645\u0627\u0646\u064a\u0646 \u0645\u0631\u0629 \u063a\u0641\u0631\u062a \u0644\u0647 \u0630\u0646\u0648\u0628 \u062b\u0645\u0627\u0646\u064a\u0646 \u0639\u0627\u0645\u0627 \u0648\u0643\u062a\u0628\u062a \u0644\u0647 \u0639\u0628\u0627\u062f\u0629 \u062b\u0645\u0627\u0646\u064a\u0646 \u0633\u0646\u0629<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>\u201cWhoever remains seated in his place after the \u2018Asr salah on a Friday and recites the following will have 80 years of sins forgiven, and 80 years of worship recorded for him\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>[\u0627\u0644\u0644\u064e\u0651\u0647\u064f\u0645\u064e\u0651 \u0635\u064e\u0644\u0650\u0651 \u0639\u064e\u0644\u064e\u0649 \u0645\u064f\u062d\u064e\u0645\u064e\u0651\u062f\u0650\u0646\u0650 \u0627\u0644\u0646\u0651\u064e\u0628\u0650\u064a\u0650\u0651 \u0627\u0644\u0652\u0623\u064f\u0645\u0651\u0650\u064a\u0651\u0650 \u0648\u064e\u0639\u064e\u0644\u064e\u0649 \u0622\u0644\u0650\u0647\u0650 \u0648\u064e\u0633\u064e\u0644\u0651\u0650\u0645\u0652 \u062a\u064e\u0633\u0652\u0644\u0650\u064a\u0652\u0645\u064b\u0627]<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><em>&#8220;Allahum-ma Sal-li A&#8217;laa Muhammadi-nin-Nabi-yil Um-mi wa A&#8217;laa Aa-li-hi wa sal-lim Tasleemaa&#8221;<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">&#8220;O Allah send salat upon Muhammad, the un-lettered Prophet and his family;\u00a0and send salams (upon them).&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Concerning this hadith\u00a0the Muhaddith, Shaikh Moulana Muhammad Abasoomer said:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">{This hadith is reported with a few chains that are extremely weak and one of the chains is currently untraceable.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">However, the following narration has been classified as \u201chasan\u201d (sound) by latter day Muhaddithun, and is similar to the above hadith.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cWhoever sends salutations upon me 80 times on a Friday, will have 80 years sins forgiven\u201d When the Sahabah (radiyallahu\u2019anhum) enquired how to do so, Rasulullah (sallallahu\u2019alaihi wasallam) replied:\u00a0\u201cSay:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>[\u0627\u0644\u0644\u064e\u0651\u0647\u064f\u0645\u064e\u0651 \u0635\u064e\u0644\u0650\u0651 \u0639\u064e\u0644\u064e\u0649 \u0645\u064f\u062d\u064e\u0645\u064e\u0651\u062f\u064d \u0639\u064e\u0628\u0652\u062f\u0650\u0643\u064e \u0648\u064e\u0646\u064e\u0628\u0650\u064a\u0651\u0650\u0643\u064e \u0648\u064e\u0631\u064e\u0633\u064f\u0648\u0652\u0644\u0650\u0643\u064e \u0627\u0644\u0646\u0651\u064e\u0628\u0650\u0651\u064a\u0650 \u0627\u0644\u0652\u0623\u064f\u0645\u0651\u0650\u064a\u0650\u0651]<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><em>&#8220;Allahumma sal-li \u2018ala Muhammadin \u2018ab-di-ka wa nabiy-yika wa rasu-li-kan nabiy-yil um-miyy\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">&#8220;O Allah send salat upon Muhammad, Your servant, Your Prophet, Your Messenger, \u00a0the Un-lettered Prophet.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">(Daraqutni; see Al-Qawlul badi\u2019, pg.400 &amp; Sharhul Ihya, vol.3 pg.286)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Imam \u2018Iraqi and others have declared this one as sound (hasan). (Al-Qawlul Badi\u2019, pg.400 &amp;\u00a0Sharhul Ihya, vol.3 pg.286)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Suitable<\/b><strong>\u00a0for practice<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Based on the above, it would be ideal to practice on the second narration, but also correct to stick to the first one since it does acquire a degree of support from the second narration. Therefore this issue shouldn\u2019t be a cause for discord in any community.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This is the view of my seniors too.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Caution:<\/strong>\u00a0It should be noted that the second hadith, which has been classified as sound does not have the promise of 80 years worship being recorded. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hadithanswers.com\/the-80-durood-salawat-after-asr-on-fridays\/\">Source<\/a>} End Quote Shaikh\u00a0Abasoomer.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It is also beneficial to note that after Asr on a Fridays is considered a very blessed and opportune time. The blessings of Salat and Salam (Durood) will surely increase.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Allah&#8217;s Messenger (\u0635\u0644\u0649 \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 \u0639\u0644\u064a\u0647 \u0648\u0633\u0644\u0645) talked about Friday and said, &#8220;There is an opportune time on Friday and if a Muslim gets it while praying and asks something from Allah, then Allah will definitely meet his demand.&#8221; And he (the Prophet) pointed out the shortness of that time with his hands. [Bukhari #935]<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The most famous opinion\u00a0is\u00a0that this special time is after Asr till Sunset and many scholars adopted this view.
