Is it permissible for a non-mahram woman to give salams to a non-mahram man, and is it permissible for her to reply to his salam?<\/p>\n

Answer:<\/span><\/p>\n

It is not permissible for non-mahram men and women to give each other salam. If one of them does say salam then the other should reply in his\/her heart but not audibly. However if one had to speak to the other out of need then it will be permissible to say salam and reply it.<\/p>\n
