Therefore, I felt it necessary to implore us to show restraint and not waste our time watching it.\u00a0 As Muslims, we should abhor that Hollywood or any entity would produce a movie depicting a Prophet.<\/p>\n<h2>1. Why are only the Prophet Mu\u1e25ammad <img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\u1e63allall\u0101hu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of All\u0101h be upon him)\" src=\"http:\/\/muslimmatters.muslimmatters.netdna-cdn.com\/wp-content\/plugins\/islamic-graphics\/img\/black\/20\/saw.png\" alt=\"\u1e63allall\u0101hu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of All\u0101h be upon him)\" height=\"20\" \/> Images Offensive?<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">We often get desensitized, especially those of us living in the West, when it comes to making images of the prophets since we see so many portraits of Jesus <img decoding=\"async\" title=\"'alayhi'l-sal\u0101m (peace be upon him)\" src=\"http:\/\/muslimmatters.muslimmatters.netdna-cdn.com\/wp-content\/plugins\/islamic-graphics\/img\/black\/20\/alayhis.png\" alt=\"'alayhi'l-sal\u0101m (peace be upon him)\" height=\"20\" \/> everywhere we go. Nevertheless, we should firmly be against the imaging of any of our Islamic Prophets.\u00a0 Many of us get up in arms when others portray our Prophet Mu\u1e25ammad <img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\u1e63allall\u0101hu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of All\u0101h be upon him)\" src=\"http:\/\/muslimmatters.muslimmatters.netdna-cdn.com\/wp-content\/plugins\/islamic-graphics\/img\/black\/20\/saw.png\" alt=\"\u1e63allall\u0101hu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of All\u0101h be upon him)\" height=\"20\" \/> in a cartoon, but don&#8217;t blink an eye if any of our other beloved prophets are depicted.\u00a0 Before you say that cartoons depicting the Prophet Mu\u1e25ammad <img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\u1e63allall\u0101hu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of All\u0101h be upon him)\" src=\"http:\/\/muslimmatters.muslimmatters.netdna-cdn.com\/wp-content\/plugins\/islamic-graphics\/img\/black\/20\/saw.png\" alt=\"\u1e63allall\u0101hu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of All\u0101h be upon him)\" height=\"20\" \/> are meant to be offensive while other images are not, just think about the outrage caused by Maajid Nawaz with his cartoon in England back in January.\u00a0 As Muslims, we rightfully should be offended when anyone depicts our Prophet Mu\u1e25ammad <img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\u1e63allall\u0101hu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of All\u0101h be upon him)\" src=\"http:\/\/muslimmatters.muslimmatters.netdna-cdn.com\/wp-content\/plugins\/islamic-graphics\/img\/black\/20\/saw.png\" alt=\"\u1e63allall\u0101hu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of All\u0101h be upon him)\" height=\"20\" \/> whether done to be offensive or not.\u00a0 What I&#8217;m also trying to advocate is that, as Muslims, we should similar be offended when others depict other prophets as well, including but not limited to Prophets Eesa and Nuh <img decoding=\"async\" title=\"'alayhi'l-sal\u0101m (peace be upon him)\" src=\"http:\/\/muslimmatters.muslimmatters.netdna-cdn.com\/wp-content\/plugins\/islamic-graphics\/img\/black\/20\/alayhis.png\" alt=\"'alayhi'l-sal\u0101m (peace be upon him)\" height=\"20\" \/>.<\/p>\n<h2>2. Russell Crowe has nothing on Prophet Nuh<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Another problematic aspect of the movie includes the role played by Russell Crowe.\u00a0 As Muslims, we honestly don&#8217;t know too much about what Prophet Nuh <img decoding=\"async\" title=\"'alayhi'l-sal\u0101m (peace be upon him)\" src=\"http:\/\/muslimmatters.muslimmatters.netdna-cdn.com\/wp-content\/plugins\/islamic-graphics\/img\/black\/20\/alayhis.png\" alt=\"'alayhi'l-sal\u0101m (peace be upon him)\" height=\"20\" \/> looked like.\u00a0 However, if we watch this movie, we will start to intertwine the character played by Russell Crowe, looks included, into our imagination of Prophet Nuh <img decoding=\"async\" title=\"'alayhi'l-sal\u0101m (peace be upon him)\" src=\"http:\/\/muslimmatters.muslimmatters.netdna-cdn.com\/wp-content\/plugins\/islamic-graphics\/img\/black\/20\/alayhis.png\" alt=\"'alayhi'l-sal\u0101m (peace be upon him)\" height=\"20\" \/>. \u00a0Russell Crowe has nothing on Prophet Nuh <img decoding=\"async\" title=\"'alayhi'l-sal\u0101m (peace be upon him)\" src=\"http:\/\/muslimmatters.muslimmatters.netdna-cdn.com\/wp-content\/plugins\/islamic-graphics\/img\/black\/20\/alayhis.png\" alt=\"'alayhi'l-sal\u0101m (peace be upon him)\" height=\"20\" \/>, so let&#8217;s not give him the opportunity to represent him in our minds.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The producer of the movie \u201cNoah,\u201d a self-professed atheist, according to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/news\/2014\/mar\/24\/atheist-noah-director-brags-film-least-biblical-bi\/#ixzz2xGlZigRx\">Washington Times<\/a>, says he is proud of the fact that he&#8217;s taken a story inspired by God&#8217;s word and turned it into something so secular.<\/p>\n<h2>3.
