{"id":2048,"date":"2014-02-08T18:15:34","date_gmt":"2014-02-08T22:15:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fiqhulislam.com\/?p=2048"},"modified":"2014-02-08T18:15:34","modified_gmt":"2014-02-08T22:15:34","slug":"muslim-festivals","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fiqhulislam.com\/?p=2048","title":{"rendered":"Non Muslim Festivals"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Umar ibn Al-Khatt\u0101b \u0631\u0636\u064a \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 \u0639\u0646\u0647\u00a0has warned:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\" align=\"center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fiqhulislam.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/stay-away-from-festivals-1.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-2055\" alt=\"stay away from festivals 1\" src=\"https:\/\/www.fiqhulislam.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/stay-away-from-festivals-1.png\" width=\"519\" height=\"63\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">\u00a0Stay away from the enemies of Allah during their festivals.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">(Bukhari in his Tarikh 1804, Baihaqi in Sunan Kubra 18862)<\/p>\n<p>In another narration he has added the reason:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fiqhulislam.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/stay-away-from-festivals.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-2049\" alt=\"stay away from festivals\" src=\"https:\/\/www.fiqhulislam.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/stay-away-from-festivals.png\" width=\"555\" height=\"172\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">Because the\u00a0wrath of Allah descends on them, so I fear it will afflict you.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">(Baihaqi in Shu&#8217;abul Iman 8940)<\/p>\n<p>Abdullah ibn A\u2019mr \u0631\u0636\u064a \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 \u0639\u0646\u0647 mentioned the consequences of joining in their festivities:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\" align=\"center\">\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fiqhulislam.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/stay-away-from-festivals-2.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-2050\" alt=\"stay away from festivals 2\" src=\"https:\/\/www.fiqhulislam.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/stay-away-from-festivals-2.png\" width=\"562\" height=\"124\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">Whoever builds [a home] in the land of the foreigners [that is, the non-Muslims] and observes their Nair\u016bz [Persian New Year] and Mahraj\u0101n [a Persian festival celebrated on the equinox] and imitates them till he dies in that state, <strong>he shall be resurrected with them<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">(Baihaqi in Shu&#8217;abul Iman 8941)<\/p>\n<p>Umar\u00a0\u0631\u0636\u064a \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 \u0639\u0646\u0647 went to the extent of prohibiting trade with them on their days of festivity, he said:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\" align=\"center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fiqhulislam.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/stay-away-from-festivals-3.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-2051\" alt=\"stay away from festivals 3\" src=\"https:\/\/www.fiqhulislam.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/stay-away-from-festivals-3.png\" width=\"497\" height=\"116\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">Stay away from the areas where the Non-Muslims socialize (hang out). Beware of entering on them for trade on their days of festival, because the wrath of Allah descends on them.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">(Baihaqi in Shu&#8217;abul Iman 8941)<\/p>\n<p>This can be applied to all Non-Muslim festivals:<br \/>\nChristmas<br \/>\nDiwali<br \/>\nHanukah<br \/>\n<strong>Carnival<\/strong><br \/>\nValentines<br \/>\nHalloween<br \/>\nBirthdays<br \/>\nWeddings<br \/>\nand the list goes on.<br \/>\nMay Allah protect us from joining with them in sin and in Hell.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Umar ibn Al-Khatt\u0101b \u0631\u0636\u064a \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 \u0639\u0646\u0647\u00a0has warned: \u00a0Stay away from the enemies of Allah during their festivals.
