In his amazing commentary on Riy\u0101\u1e0du\u1e63 \u1e62\u0101li\u1e25\u012bn, \u02bfAll\u0101mah Ibn Kam\u0101l P\u0101sh\u0101 \u0631\u062d\u0645\u0647 \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 wrote the following under the title ‘Istikh\u0101rah and Mush\u0101warah’:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ab\u016b Hurayrah \u0631\u0636\u064a \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 \u0639\u0646\u0647 narrated that the Messenger of All\u0101h \ufdfa said: \u201cWhen anyone of you seeks what is best from Your Rabb (Lord) \u0639\u064e\u0632\u0651\u064e \u0648\u064e \u062c\u064e\u0644\u0651\u064e, ask Him for the best with \u02bf\u0101fiyah<\/em><\/strong>. For verily, at times the best for a person lies in affliction.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u02bfAbdull\u0101h ibn Mas\u02bf\u016bd \u0631\u0636\u064a \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 \u0639\u0646\u0647 said: \u201cOne of you seeks what is best [from All\u0101h Ta\u02bf\u0101l\u0101] and says: Then, All\u0101h Ta\u02bf\u0101l\u0101 ordains goodness for him but he is [still] not content. Rather, he should say:<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u0627\u064e\u0644\u0644\u0647\u0645 \u062e\u0650\u0631\u0652\u0644\u0650\u0649\u0652 \u0628\u0650\u0631\u064e\u062d\u0652\u0645\u064e\u062a\u0650\u0643\u064e \u0648\u064e \u0639\u064e\u0627\u0641\u0650\u064a\u064e\u062a\u0650\u0643\u064e<\/strong>. And he says:<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u0627\u0650\u0642\u0652\u0636\u0650 \u0644\u0650\u064a\u0652 \u0628\u0650\u0627\u0644\u0652\u062d\u064f\u0633\u0652\u0646\u0649\u0670. And [sometimes], the best outcome which is destined [for a person] is the severing of a hand and foot and the loss of wealth and children. Rather, he should say:<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u0627\u0650\u0642\u0652\u0636\u0650 \u0644\u0650\u064a\u0652 \u0628\u0650\u0627\u0644\u0652\u062d\u064f\u0633\u0652\u0646\u0649\u0670 \u0641\u0650\u064a\u0652 \u064a\u064f\u0633\u0652\u0631\u064d \u0645\u0650\u0646\u0652\u0643\u064e \u0648\u064e \u0639\u064e\u0627\u0641\u0650\u064a\u064e\u0629\u064d<\/strong>. Bakr ibn \u02bfAbdull\u0101h Muzan\u012b \u0631\u062d\u0645\u0647 \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 reported: \u201cA man used to seek what is best from All\u0101h Ta\u02bf\u0101l\u0101 abundantly. He was thereafter afflicted with trials. So he became anxious and impatient.
